Faculty Membership in 3CPG
Cornell University faculty with established or clearly developing interests in quantitatively rigorous comparative and population genomics are welcome to apply for a membership in the Cornell Center for Comparative and Population Genomics (3CPG). New members can also be nominated by a current 3CPG member, with the same application materials being required (see below). Members of 3CPG are expected to have established or be actively developing research programs in rigorous quantitative approaches to comparative and population genomics. Members in good standing are eligible to apply for available 3CPG resources, including priming funding for research projects, graduate and postdoctoral fellowships, and support of travel to meetings and conferences. Good standing of members is determined by active participation of faculty and members of their laboratories in 3CPG activities, such as the 3CPG Seminar Series, graduate recruiting, annual Research Retreat, service on 3CPG committees, review of applications for 3CPG support, preparation of applications for extramural 3CPG funding and other research, and relevant teaching initiatives. Applications for membership are evaluated by the 3CPG executive committee. Membership status will be reviewed each 3 years so as to maintain an active membership.
